Turning the unit on Slowly loosen (counterclockwise rotation) the tension nut
adjustment (B) until there is slight pressure on the cutting head blades (the
noise level will increase).
CAUTION!
Loosening the tension nut too much can cause the blades to
unlock, resulting in injury!
Tighten the tension nut again until the noise is eliminated and resistance is felt
during adjustment. The blade pressure of the cutting head has been set. Start
using the unit. If the clipping is abnormal, increasing the blade pressure is
recommended.
B. WHEN OPERATING THE UNIT
The shearing system on the dedicated model operates using much less blade
pressure than traditional sheep shearing machines have. For this reason, make
sure to check that the pressure settings are not too high. Periodically adjust
the tension by up to ¼ turn while operating the machine. Sheep fleece can
become lodged between the cutting head blades if the pressure is incorrectly
adjusted with the tensioning nut before operation. In this case, you will need
to remove the cutting head blades, clean the components, oil them, and
reinstall them.
