USING THE MACHINE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Unbox the coffee machine, removing all packaging materials and stickers. (fig. 1)
Clean the coffee machine with a damp cloth or sponge. (fig. 2)
Plug to the socket. (fig. 3)
Note:
Before using your coffee maker for the first time, run a brew cycle without coffee to rinse.
BREWING COFFEE INTO TRAVEL MUG
1. Fill the water tank with cold water to desired water level (Max 15fl oz). (fig. 4)
Note: Do not exceed the Max line (15fl oz) when brewing into travel mug. Doing so could
cause travel mug to overflow.
2. Insert the permanent filter. (fig. 5)
3. Add the desired amount of ground coffee directly into the filter, then close the top cover.
We recommend using the provided measuring spoon and adding four scoops per full
mug of coffee. (fig. 6)
4. Place the removable drip tray on base of coffee maker. Remove the lid of the travel mug
and place the travel mug on the drip tray. Press the On/Off button. The button will light
up and brewing will begin. (fig. 7 & 8)
5. The coffee maker and light turn off automatically after brewing is finished. Allow coffee
to finish dripping from the unit before removing your travel mug and securing the lid.
(fig. 9)
Wait a few minutes before making a second mug of coffee. Please allow the brewing
chamber to fully cool down and remember to empty the used coffee grinds prior to making
your next cup.
NOTE: There will be slightly less coffee in your travel mug than the amount of water added,
as the ground coffee will absorb some of the water.
CAUTION: Be careful when opening the coffee maker lid after brewing as this area will be
hot and steam built up in the machine can cause burns. Use the lift tab located on the front
of the lid and be careful with hands and face so they do not come in contact with any steam
or hot water.
Reheating the coffee
Do not put the travel mug into the microwave.

BREWING COFFEE INTO CARAFE (OR YOUR OWN MUG)
1. Fill the water tank with cold water to desired water level (Max 15fl oz). (fig. 10)
Note: Do not exceed the Max line (15fl oz) when brewing into carafe. Doing so could
cause carafe to overflow. If you are brewing into your own mug, we recommend you use
your mug to fill the water tank so coffee does not overflow.
2. Insert the permanent filter. (fig. 11)
3. Add the desired amount of ground coffee directly into the filter, then close the top cover.
We recommend using the provided measuring spoon and adding four scoops per full
carafe of coffee. (fig. 12)
4. Place the carafe tray on base of coffee maker. (fig. 13)
5. Place the carafe with its lid (or mug of your choice) on the drip tray. Press the On/Off
button. The button will light up and brewing will begin. (fig. 14 & 15)
6. The coffee maker and light turn off automatically after brewing is finished. Allow coffee
to finish dripping from the unit before removing the carafe (or your mug). (fig. 16)
Wait a few minutes before making a second carafe or mug of coffee. Please allow the
brewing chamber to fully cool down and remember to empty the used coffee grinds prior
to making your next cup.
NOTE: There will be slightly less coffee in your carafe or mug than the amount of water
added, as the ground coffee will absorb some of the water.
Do not put the carafe into the microwave.
PREPARING POUR-OVER COFFEE
1. Pour cold water into a kettle (not included) and bring to a boil.
2. Remove the lid from the carafe and place the pour-over filter holder on top of the carafe,
or a mug of your choice. (fig. 17 & 18)
3. Insert the permanent filter or a junior basket filter inside the pour-over filter holder. (fig. 19)
Note: For best results, we recommend using paper filters for this brew method.
4. Pour some boiled water over the filter to preheat the brew basket and carafe. Pour out
the water from the carafe or your mug.
5. Add the desired amount of ground coffee directly into the filter. (fig. 20)
6. Starting at the center of your ground coffee, gently pour boiled water (just enough to wet
all the coffee). Let rest for 30 seconds. (fig. 21)
7. Continue pouring boiled water slowly and gently over the ground coffee, pausing for 30
seconds after each pour. Continue until you have your desired amount of coffee.
Tip: The slower the pour, the richer the flavor!
