Troubleshooting
Problem
The light will not come on.
The light comes on or the alarm
sounds during the day.
Possible Cause
The bulb is loose or burned out.
The switch on the light is turned off.
Weak batteries are in the motion
sensor.
The fuse is blown or the circuit breaker
is turned off.
The plug-in control does not respond
immediately after installation.
Signals from the motion sensor are
being blocked, or the motion sensor is
out of range.
Daylight turn-off (photocell) is in effect.
The motion sensor is aimed in the
wrong direction.
The outside air temperature is close to
the same as a person's body heat.
The light is defective.
The dip switches on the motion sensor
and plug-in control do not match.
The plug-in control is receiving interfer-
ence from another transmitter.
The motion sensor may be installed in a
relatively dark location.
The "ON-TIME" switch is in the "TEST"
position.
The "DETECT" switch on the motion
sensor is set to "DAY/NIGHT".

Solution
Check the bulb and replace
if burned out.
Verify the switch on the
light is turned on.
Check battery charge and
replace if necessary.
Replace the fuse or turn the
circuit breaker on.
Wait for the 90-second
initialization period after
installing batteries or plug-
ging in units.
Check for metal objects
that could block the signal,
or reposition the motion
sensor.
Recheck after dark.
Re-aim the motion sensor
to cover the desired area.
Increase the "RANGE"
setting.
Test using a different light.
Verify the code settings
on the motion sensor and
plug-in control are set the
same.
Change the code setting on
the motion sensor and the
plug-in control. See Code
Setting on page 10.
Move the motion sensor to
a brighter area.
Set the "ON-TIME" switch
to the 1 or 5 minute setting.
Set the "DETECT" switch to
"NIGHT ONLY".
