CAUTION: Do not charge the rechargeable battery unsupervised.
1. Turn the appliance off. "OFF" can be seen on the switch.
2. Connect the power adapter connector with one of the following jacks.
• The socket directly at the bottom end of the appliance.
• Alternatively place the appliance in the charging station. The socket is at the
rear.
3. Plug the power adapter into wall outlet.
4. Charge the appliance before first use for 12 hours.
NOTE:
• The indicator light remains red during the charging process.
• The charge indicator does not indicate the state of charge of the recharge-
able battery.
• If the rechargeable battery is empty, the appliance can be operated via power
adapter. In order to do so, connect the power adapter directly to the appliance.
5. After initial use, do not charge the battery for longer than 12 hours at one time.
CAUTION:
After 12 hours always disconnect from mains power supply.
NOTE of lifetime rechargeable battery
You can extent the lifetime of the rechargeable battery by following these steps:
• Only charge after the battery is nearly exhausted.
• Do not charge for more than 12 hours.
• Charge the appliance at temperatures between 0 ° and + 40 °C.
• Even when switched off, the rechargeable battery discharges continuously. If
the appliance is out of use for a longer period of time, charge the rechargeable
battery at least once every 4 to 6 weeks.
