Notes
Install device in a closable control cabinet rated at Pollution
Degree 2 and overvoltage category II and sufficient
mechanical protection.
Protect device supply with a 1 A fast-acting fuse.
Protect relay circuit with a 1.6 A fast-acting fuse.
Protect device from mechanical damage.
Do not install device and cables in the vicinity of strong
magnetic fields or cables carrying high currents.
To improve noise immunity with long cable runs use
shielded cables.
The device meets the EMC requirements for industrial
areas. Use in other areas may require additional EMC
measures. To improve noise immunity with long cable runs
use shielded cables.
To ensure sufficient ventilation maintain separation from
adjacent intrinsically heating devices. Reducing the
ambient temperature results in longer service life of the
unit.
Snap the signal converter on to the rail from above. To
remove, press the clamp on the underside.
Install connection cable according to the wiring diagram.
Install sensor according to the instructions in the
corresponding user's guide.

Setting the switchpoint
General
The relay contact is closed when the yellow LED is on.
Set the switchpoint using the potentiometer on the front
side of the device.
Keep the flow rate and medium temperature stable while
setting and wait until the temperature between the sensor
and medium has been compensated.
The flow rate must lie within the detection range of the
sensor.
Monitoring a flow rate limit for undershoot or
stoppage
1. Set flow rate and wait for the ready period.
2. Turn potentiometer counter-clockwise until the red LED
comes on.
3. Turn potentiometer clockwise until the yellow and
2 green LEDs come on. The relay contact is closed.
4. Reduce flow rate and observe the LEDs and switching
output. When the yellow LED goes out the relay
contact opens.
Monitoring a flow rate limit for overshoot
1. Set flow rate or stop flow and wait for the ready period.
2. Slowly turn the potentiometer screw clockwise until the
yellow LED comes on.
3. Turn potentiometer counter-clockwise until the red LED
comes on. The relay contact is open.
4. Increase flow rate. Also observe the LED indicators and
switching output. When the limit value is exceeded, the
yellow LED comes on and the relay contact closes.
Maintenance
Do not modify or repair the signal converter; repairs are to
be performed only by the manufacturer.
Disposal
Observe the national regulations for disposal.
