Inserting
The collet 20 and the clamping nut 9 form a unit
on these pneumatic tools. This protects the col-
let, which holds the tool bit 7, against damage.
Hold the grinder spindle 10 with open-end
wrench 19 by the wrench flats 5.
Loosen the clamping nut 9 with open-end
wrench 21 by applying it to the wrench flats 6
and turning in counterclockwise direction.
Only use properly fitting and undamaged
open-end wrenches (see "Technical Data").
Insert the dust-free tool bit 7 into the tool holder
8 of the collet 20.
Pay attention that the shank of the tool bit is
seated against the stop of the collet or at least
10 mm deep in the collet.
Hold the grinder spindle 10 firmly with open-end
wrench 19 and clamp the tool bit 7 with open-
end wrench 21 by the wrench flats 6, turning in
clockwise direction.
Firstly test-run newly mounted tool bits, such as
grinding points or flap sanding wheels, at no-
load speed.
Removing
Tool bits can become hot after
CAUTION
prolonged operation of the
pneumatic tool. Wear protective gloves when
removing tool bits.
Loosen the collet and clamping nut as previous-
ly described and remove the tool bit.
Changing the Collet (see figure E)
Hold the grinder spindle 10 with open-end
wrench 19 by the wrench flats 5.
Loosen the clamping nut 9 with open-end
wrench 21 by applying it to the wrench flats 6
and turning in counterclockwise direction.
Only use properly fitting and undamaged
open-end wrenches (see "Technical Data").
Remove the clamping nut 9 together with the
collet 20.
For mounting a collet 20, hold the grinder spin-
dle 10 with open-end wrench 19 by the wrench
flats 5, and tighten the collet in the clamping nut
9 with open-end wrench 21 by the wrench flats
6 turning in clockwise direction.

Operating Instructions
Putting into Operation
The air tool operates optimally with a pressure
of 6.3 bar (91 psi) measured at the air inlet with
the tool running.
Remove any adjusting tools before starting
the operation of the pneumatic tool. An ad-
justing tool still applied to a rotating tool
component can lead to injury.
Note: If the tool does not start after, for exam-
ple, not being used for a long period of time, dis-
connect the air supply and turn the motor re-
peatedly by rotating the tool bit holder 8. This
eliminates adhesive forces.
Type 0 607 252 103/... 105

switch 1 toward the front.
To switch off the pneumatic tool, pull the
On/Off switch 1 toward the rear.
Type 0 607 260 100/... 101

switch 1 toward the rear.
To switch off the pneumatic tool, press the
On/Off switch 1 toward the front.
Type 0 607 252 104
To start the pneumatic tool, press the On/Off
switch 1 toward the front and hold it in this po-
sition during the work procedure.
For switching off the pneumatic tool, release
the On/Off switch 1.
Working Instructions
Disconnect the air hose from the air source
before making any adjustments, changing ac-
cessories, or storing the pneumatic tool. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the pneumatic tool accidentally.
In the event of an interruption of the air sup-
ply or reduced operating pressure, switch
off the pneumatic tool. Check the operating
pressure and restart the tool when the oper-
ating pressure is again optimal.
Excess loads that cause the pneumatic tool to
stall or reduce speed will not damage the motor.
