Checking the battery charging status (Fig. A)
• To check the battery charge status, press the
on/off switch (3) into the " ON/1" position to
start the pump.
• The control unit has 4 lights indicating the
charge level, the more lights that burn, the
more charge the battery has left.
• When the lights are not burning it means the bat-
tery is empty and must be charged immediately.
• Press the on/off switch (3) into the " OFF/0"
position to stop the pump.
Removing the battery from the machine (Fig. D-1)
1. Push the battery unlock button (17).
2. Pull the battery (16) out of the machine.
Charging the battery with the charger (Fig. D)
When the machine is not being used over
a longer period of time it is best to store the
battery in charged condition.
1. Take the battery (16) from the machine.
2. Plug the charger (18) plug into an electrical outlet.
3. Plug the output of the charger (18) into the
round socket of the battery (16) as shown in
Fig. D-2.
4. The LED indicator on the charger will lighten up
and show the charger status.

4. Fully charging the 2.0Ah battery (16) may take
up to 2.5 hours.
5. After the battery (16) is fully charged remove
the charger (18) plug from the outlet and remo-
ve the battery (16) from the charger (18).
4. OPERATION
Never use this pump in a pond or swimming
pool while people are present in the water!
Always have the pump switched off before
placing it in or removing it from the water.
Only switch the power back on with dry hands.

Never run this pump dry - out of the water.
If no more water can be pumped, a dry-run
protection feature switches off the pump
automatically.
Clean the filter (15) and filter cover (4) at
regular intervals, and check it for damage.
Otherwise, its function can be impaired.
Manual operation (Fig. A, E)
1. Connect quick coupler of the garden hose (not
included) to the hose connector (14).
2. Lower the pump into the rain barrel. If neces-
sary, fix the rain barrel pump with the included
clamp (9) on the rain barrel, as shown on figure
E. Tighten the screws with a suitable hex key
(not included) hand tight on the rain barrel.
3. When the water level is low, it would be advisa-
ble to stand the pump on a solid platform at the
bottom to keep it upright, if practical to do so.
Ensure there are no obstructions around the
inlet openings around the base (4) of the pump.
The inlet openings must be clear of mud or
sludge at the bottom of a barrel.
4. Press the power switch (3) into the " ON/1"
position to start the pump. If no more water
can be pumped, a dry-run protection feature
switches off the pump automatically.
5. After use, press the power switch (3) into the "
OFF/0" position to stop the pump.
6. Lift the pump back out of the water.
Adjusting the height of the pump (Fig. A)
You can adjust the height of the pump after
loosening the locking knob of the upper pipe (8).
Extend or retract the telescopic upper pipe (8) to
the desired length and tighten the the locking knob
of the upper pipe (8). Wind the cable and bind it, as
shown on figure C.
Remove the extension part (Fig. A)
It is also possible to remove the extension part.
Unscrew the extention part(7) from the water outlet
(6) and the upper pipe (8) and remove the extension
part (7). Screw the upper pipe (8) to the water outlet
(6). Wind the cable and bind it, as shown on figure C.
