GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The door seals should be cleaned regularly.
Damaged power cable or plugs must be replaced immediately by a competent person.
If you are going away on holiday or for any other reason, wish to leave the refrigerator idle for
any period of time, proceed as follows:
Disconnect the refrigerator from the electric power supply by removing the plug from the wall
socket.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
The following points are intended to help you resolve some queries before you call the
Technical Assistance.
NOTE
If the unit is unplugged, you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the unit. If you
attempt to restart without any delay, the refrigerator will not start.
Appliance not operating;
Check that the plug is in the socket, the switch is on and the socket is live.
A gurgling or trickling noise can be heard;
This is NOT a fault. It is simply the coolant in the circuit.
Compressor runs continuously but the fridge temperature does not go down to 5ºC.
Check that the door has been closed properly.
Check that the thermostat has not been moved accidentally.
Insufficient air flow space has been provided around the freezer.
The fridge is overly cold;
Check that the thermostat is set correctly, 3-4, and then use a thermometer.
If an engineer's visit is required and the conditions of the Guarantee are fully satisfied a repair
may be offered without charge.

If a replacement appliance is required a charge may be made which reflects the wear and tear
on the original appliance.
If no fault is found with the appliance a 'Call out Charge' may be made.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE PLUGGED INTO AN EARTHED SOCKET.
Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that
indicated on the rating plate. This product is designed to operate on 220 – 240V AC; 50Hz.
Connection to any other power source may damage the unit.
This product may be fitted with a non – rewireable plug. If it is necessary to change the fuse in
the plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover becomes lost or damaged, the plug
must not be used until a suitable replacement obtained.
If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or becomes damaged
in any way, it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted following the wiring instructions
below. This should be carried out by a qualified electrician. The plug removed must be
disposed of safely, as insertion into a 13 Amp socket is likely to cause an electrical hazard.
