1. Technical requirements to use the HUB.
a. Make sure the Type-C port of your device is full-featured (data and video output). Some
functions, for example screen mirroring, cannot be used if it is not full-featured.
b. Please note that a Type-C charging port and data/audio transmission port are two individual
ports on some laptops, for example, Huawei MateBook X.
c. Features of a Type-C full-featured port: data and video output, up to l0Gbps of data
transmission speed, USB 3.1 standard, and backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1.
Non-full-featured ports support only data output. Please confirm that your device meets the
requirements before purchase this product.
2. A Hard disk cannot be read when inserted in the HUB.
When inserting a hard disk and the file location cannot be found, for Windows systems, go to This
PC Devices and Drives > check the hard disk (Shortcut key WIN+E); for iOS systems, click Finder on
the desktop > check the hard disk in Location.
3. NTFS hard disks are read-only in Apple Books.
Click on Finder > Application > Utilities > Disk Tools > Select Disk > Click on Erase > Select format
ExFAT > Confirm Erase to change the format into exFAT to enable reading and writing.
4. An RJ45 network access is not working.
a. Please check the internet connection. If you use a router, select an Internet access mode
through Internet settings; if you choose direct connection, redial your dial-up connection.
b. Go to Control Panel > System > Device Manager to check whether the network card driver
works normally. If a yellow exclamation mark "!" shows on the icon of the Network Interface Card,
it means that the network card driver is not normal. Just reinstall the network card driver to solve
the problem.
5. Internet speed is slower than a Gigabit.
a. Check that you are using a Gigabit network cable.
b. Our products are strictly tested for Gigabit transmission. The network speed also depends on
your router and network card.
6. 3.5mm audio port is not working.
a. Check that other ports of the HUB work properly. If all ports cannot work, it means the HUB is
not properly connected to the Type-C port of devices.
b. Switch the audio output source from display audio output to USB PnP Audio Device (HUB
audio output).
7. Actual transmission speed is slower than the speed of USB 3.0.
a. Transmission speed will slow down when the HUB battery is low. Please charge the HUB
through the PD port.
b. Check if the mobile hard disk has a USB 3.0 port.
8. Screen mirroring is not working via an HDMI/VGA port.
Select a proper HDMI signal source. Displays or TVs normally have HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 input
labeled. For LG displays, go to Settings > Input > Input List > Select HDMI1 or 2.
9. The resolution ratio is not as high as advertised.
a. The advertised resolution ratio is measured by the Baseus Laboratory. Please confirm that both
your device and display support the resolution ratio. For example, 15-inch AppleBook Pro (2017)
has a full-featured Type-C port but it supports only DP 1.2. So the resolution ratio is 4K@30Hz
when cast on one screen, but becomes 1080P automatically when cast on two screens. 4K@30Hz
is achievable when using 16-inch AppleBook Pro (2019) DP1.4 when cast on two screens.
b. This HUB is compatible with DP1.2 and 1.4. The resolution ratio depends on your device. If your
device does not meet the requirements, it cannot achieve the highest resolution ratio.
10. The HUB is getting hot.
a. The HUB has a built-in chip. The chip gets hot during operation. The more types and numbers
of interfaces a HUB has, the stronger processing power and more heat the chip delivers. Shells
made of metal materials have better heat dissipation to prevent the chip from overheating,
causing the instability of the HUB or failures such as disconnection.
b. The HUB getting hot will not affect or damage laptops.
11. Slow response of mouse and keyboard.
a. HUB working at full load may lead to insufficient voltage, please power it up through a Type-C (PD).
b. When mouse, keyboards, hard disks and other devices work at the same time, the signal
interference may lead to a slow response.
