Voltage transformer
12 V DC – 2 x 230 V AC/50Hz, 12 V DC – 1 x 5 V DC USB
Ideal for: Computers (PC, notebooks...), lights, radio, video, TC, SAT, battery
Equipped with: Voltage control: In case of low voltage there is an acoustic
chargers, fans for a number of machines, up to a constant output of 1000 W.
alarm and the device will be switched off (this prevents the deep battery
USB: Electric power supply for MP3 players, digital cameras, external hard
discharge). If the maximum allowable input voltage has been exceeded, the
discs...
device will switch off and a LED diode will turn red (thus preventing
transformer damage due to over-voltage).
Accessories:
Protection against change of poles: 3x 35 A socket fuse in-built in the device.
• 1000 Watt/2000 Watt voltage transformer
(The device may be installed only by authorised personnel.)
Over-load protection: If the maximum allowable power output has been

exceeded, the device will switch off and the LED diode will turn red. (After
switching off / on the device will start working again = RESET).
Heat control: An in-built fan provides for sufficient cooling of the voltage
transformer. If the device is wormer than +70 °C in spite of the cooling
process, it will be automatically switched off and the red LED diode will turn
on. (Switch the device off and let it cool off). (After switching the device off /
on it will start working again = RESET).

Connection:
1. If the voltage transformer is turn on turn it off.
2. Connect the cable marked with red with the plus (+) connector (red screw connector) and the cable marked with black with the minus (-) connector (black
screw connector) which are located on the voltage transformer.
3. Connect the other end of the cable with the battery (red cable to the plus pole (+) of the battery, the black cable to the minus (-) pole. The cables must be
screwed in at the pole terminals.
4. Plug your 230 V device in the voltage transformer (strictly adhere to all information concerning voltage).
5. Now switch your voltage transformer on (position I). The green LED diode will turn on and the connected 230 V device must work flawlessly.
Note:
1. If you wish to disconnect your 230 V device again, first disconnect the device and only then the voltage transformer.
2. If your voltage transformer has been switched on, you can hear a signal tone for a short period of time upon disconnecting (it is common).
3. Your current transformer works flawlessly regardless the fact whether the motor of your vehicle is running or not. However, it should be running to prevent
the battery to discharge too quickly. Let your motor run several times in an hour (especially in case of a lead exceeding > 150 Watt).
4. Since the AC source voltage has been shaded off by the current transformer, the common voltmeter will read voltage lower by approximately 20 V. Only when
using the True-RMS voltmeters the true value can be determined.
5. If you haven't been using the voltage transformer for a longer period of time, disconnect it from the battery or charge the battery using a battery charger.
6. When running image devices (e.g. TV), mild interference stripes may occur which, however, do not damage the device in any way. Position the voltage
transformer as far from the TV as possible, use only well shaded off antenna cables and make sure the antenna signal is sufficiently strong.
7. Please note that the figure given for 230 V device power output is only an average value, and some devices may need input several times the given figure
when switched on. Therefore, it is possible that such a device will not work with the voltage transformer since the in-built over-load protection will switch the
device off for safety reasons.
USB connection:
1. If the voltage transformer is switched on turn it off.
2. Plug the USB electrical device in the USB port (Max. 1.5 A is allowed). Ideally you can use a suitable USB cable (in case of a socket contact you need an
A USB plug).
3. Now turn you voltage transformer on (position I). The greed LED diode will turn on and the connected USB device must work flawlessly.
Note: If you wish to disconnect your USB device again, first disconnect the device and only then the voltage transformer.
General Safety Guidelines:
Art.Nr. 82179
1. To prevent shorts, connect only defect-free devices (respect the data concerning their maximum power output)!
2. The device in operation creates life-threatening voltage! Therefore, carry out all the necessary connections with the caution necessary and have only
qualified professionals to execute potential repairs.
3.Please make sure the assembly location be protected from moisture and dirt and is aired sufficiently.
4.No significant heat elements can be in the proximity of the transformer.
5.The device is not a toy and therefore must be operated and stored out of children's reach.
6.The voltage transformer is very hot when in operation and that is why it is cooled by means of an in-built fan. To be able to provide sufficient air circulation,
make sure the air slots and cooler remain uncovered.
7.If the voltage transformer protective switch is to be activated (the red LED diode is on), turn the device off and check the functionality and maximum input
power of the appliance. Only if the device works flawlessly at 230 V may it be put back into operation.
8.If the device is operated for a longer period of time at a high power output, it is possible that the in-built temperature control switches the voltage transformer
off for safety reasons. Turn off the device an let it cool off. Then it can be, without any problems, put back into operation.
9.Connect the grounding connection with the grounding point. That may be e.g. a minus pole (-) or a frame, if the voltage transformer and the connected
appliance are operated in the vehicle. Outside the vehicle (boat, fixed assembly) the voltage transformer must be connected for the existing grounding system
(the existing grounding, a grounding pole). To lay cables, always use yellow/green wire.
10.No purely inductive load (e.g. large motors, unit substation...) may be connected to this device, since they could damage it.

Besides standard legal warranty, the manufacturer provides warranty according to applicable norms and regulations of the respective country.
Electrical appliances should not be disposed of as general waste.
According to the 2002/96/EC Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and its application in the national law, electrical waste
must be separated and recycled. Recycling as an alternative to waste collection: The owner of the electrical appliance is responsible for either
returning it or ensuring its proper recycling in a waste collection facility operating according to national regulations on recycling and waste
management. This does not apply to waste electric equipment accessories without electric parts.
