measured as accurately as possible, this will result in a small error
in the intermediate measurement result.
Indirect measurement - Pythagorean Theorem
Switch on the device and select where the distance will be meas-
ured from by pressing the measurement basis button. Keep press-
ing the measurement basis button until the display shows the
right triangle symbol with marked edge that will be measured fi rst.
Measure the edge length as in the single measurement method.
Use the power switch to switch the measurement to the next edge
and measure it as in the case of the fi rst edge. The measurement
of directly measured distance and the distance calculated using
the Pythagorean Theorem will be showed on the display.
CAUTION! The fi rst distance measured must be greater than the
second one. Otherwise, the result of measurement will be invalid.
Indirect measurement - Dual Pythagorean Theorem
This type of measurement is used, when the beginning and end
of a distance is located above or below the point of measurement.
CAUTION! The most accurate results of measurement are ob-
tained, when the point of measurement is located in the middle of
the measured distance. All other positioning of a point of measure-
ment will result in measurement errors.
Switch on the device and select where the distance will be meas-
ured from by pressing the measurement basis button.
Press the measurement basis button until a double right triangle
symbol appears on the display. The display will show the meas-
urement symbol with a fl ashing edge, the length of which will be
measured. Perform the measurement as in the case of meas-
uring a single distance, and then measure the second and third
distance. The measurement of directly measured distance and
the distance calculated using the Pythagorean Theorem will be
showed on the display.
CAUTION! The fi rst and the third distance measured must be

greater than the second one. Otherwise, the result of measure-
ment will be invalid.
Adding and subtracting the distance
The laser distance meter enables adding and subtracting of
measurements.
Switch on the device and select where the distance will be meas-
ured from by pressing the measurement basis button.
Keep pressing the measurement basis button until the display will
show the "+" symbol indicating measurement addition or the "-"
symbol indicating measurement subtraction. Perform the meas-
urement as in the case of measurement of a single distance, and
then measure the next distance. The results of the measurements
will be totalled up, or the result of the second measurement will be
subtracted from the result of the fi rst measurement.
Measurement memory
The distance meter is equipped with a memory that automatically
stores the last measurements. Older results are deleted and auto-
matically erased and replaced with new ones. To view the stored
measurements, switch on the device, and press the button of the
unit of measure button. Further pressing will allow you to view the
next saved measurement results. Along with the measurement
results, the display shows the memory register number. If, during
the viewing of the stored measurement results, the unit of meas-
ure button is pressed, the displayed result will be deleted, and a
zero will be displayed in its place.
