AIR FILTER
Frequency of maintenance: the air filter should be daily cleaned, espe-
cially when you work in dusty condition and has to be replaced every 100h
work.
Maintenance: Push and open the air filter cap. Remove the foam filter. Clean
the air filter with warm water. Let it dry completely.
Softly put some SAE 30 engine oil on the pre-filter and remove excessive oil.
Mount the filter and the cover.
FUEL FILTER
Frequency of maintenance: Fuel filter should be replaced every 100h of
work
Maintenance: Fuel filter is located at the bottom side of the fuel hose inside the
tank. To replace the fuel filter make sure the tank is empty. Remove the gas cap.
Pull out softly the fuel filter through the tank, catch the fuel hose and remove the
filter but do not leave the hose, than insert the new filter and let the hose inside
the tank.
Make sure the filter does not get stuck in the corner of the tank and that the hose
is not folded before you refill the tank.
SPARK PLUG
Frequency of maintenance: the spark plug must be removed from the
engine and checked every 25h of work. The spark plug should be changed
every 100h of work.
Maintenance: When the engine is off remove the exhaust's cover screw, than
remove the cover. Loose the cylinder cover's screw and remove the cylinder's
cover. ( See picture included in next section CYLINDER COOLING WINGS).
Move the cable up and down a couple of times to loose it and than remove the
cable. Remove the spark plug. You can clean the electrodes with a small brush.
Regulate the distance from the electrode at 0,6-0,7 mm ( 0,024-0,028 inches).
Replace the spark plug if it's dirty of oil, broken or if electrodes are worn out.
Tightening couple is 10, 7-16,6Nm (95-148 inches/libbers). Fix again the
cylinder cover and the exhaust cover.
CYLINDER COOLING WINGS
Frequency of maintenance: The cylinder
with cooling wings has to be cleaned after eve-
ry 25h of work, or weekly. Air can easily flow
through the cylinder wings to prevent the cylin-
der to get overheated. Leaves, grass, dust and
debris on the cylinder wings can overheat the
engine and reduce its life as well as reduce its
performances.
