• Set the functions switch into the adequate resistance range. Connect
the test probes through the resistance to be measured.
NOTE
1. If the resistance value measured exceed the maximum value of the
selected range, the LCD will show "OL". Therefore, set the functions
switch in a higher range. When resistance is above 1 M
multimeter will take a few seconds to stabilize. This is normal for high
resistance readings.
2. When the input terminal is in the open circuit, it shows overload.
3. When measuring resistance in line, double check the power supply is
off and all the capacitors are completely released.
MEASURING CAPACITANCE (automatic range)
• Insert the red test probe into "INPUT" terminal and the black one into
the "COM" connector.
• Set the functions connector into 20 mF range. connect the test probes
to the capacitor being measured. (NOTA: Polarity of the red test probe
is "+").
NOTE
1. Before measuring, it is possible the LCD display is not showing zero.
The residual reading gradually decreases. This can be ignored.
2. When reading a very large capacitance, LCD will show some instability
value.
DIODE AND CONTINUITY TEST
• Insert the black test probe into terminal "COM" and the red one into the
"INPUT" connector. (NOTE: Polarity of the red test probe is "+").
• Set the functions switch into "
" range. Connect the test probes
into the diode to be measured. The reading is an approximation to the
positive drop of the diode voltage.
• Connect the test probes into two pints in the measured circuit. If the
buzzer rings, resistance is lower than 50
MEASUREMENT OF hFE
• Set the range knob in hFE.
• Verify the transistor type is NPN or PNP. Insert the emitter, base and
collector in the adequate connector.
