Battery replacement
When the battery level is low, the low battery indicator LED will light up (only for X-
METAL, X-PROWELD models). The lens of the filter may not be working properly. In
this case, replace the batteries.
To replace the batteries:
Model: X-METAL
1) Unscrew the battery compartment cover.
2) Remove the old battery from the holder.
3) Replace with a new CR2450 lithium battery (same type as the old battery).
4) Make sure the positive (+) pole of the battery is facing up (towards the
operator's head).
5) Replace the battery plate cover and screw it on. Press the TEST button. The
lens should darken for a moment.
Models: X-SPARK, X-STAR, X-PROWELD
1) Remove the auto-darkening filter from the compartment by unhooking its
latches.
2) Pull out the battery compartment cover with the battery (the X-PROWELD
model is equipped with 2 batteries).
3) Remove the old battery from the holder.
4) Replace with a new CR2032 lithium battery (same type as the old battery).
