Basic safety notes
Intended use
The Geberit Mapress electric pipe deburrer RE 1 can be used to
deburr the inner and outer edges of Mapress system pipes and
commercially available copper pipes with an outer diameter of
15-108 mm. Pipes with an outer diameter of 12 mm can only be
deburred along the outer edge.
Any other use or a use extending beyond this is deemed to be
improper. Geberit will not accept any liability for any resulting
damage.
User qualifications
Without suitable training, users cannot detect or may incorrectly
estimate the hazards presented by the Geberit Mapress electric pipe
deburrer RE 1. They are therefore at risk of seriously injuring
themselves or others.
• The Geberit Mapress electric pipe deburrer RE 1 may only be used
by skilled persons qualified in pipe installations.
• Users must be conversant with – and adhere to – country-specific
safety regulations.
• Users working with a Geberit Mapress electric pipe deburrer RE 1
for the first time must have been instructed by an expert or have
attended a specialist course on how to handle it safely.
