If the thread ends can not be
lengthened:

Turn off the device.

Press the core insert as far as it will
go and pull firmly on the end of the
string.
If no line ends are visible:

Replace the spool (see chapter on
'Replacing the spool').
Putting on the carrying
harness
The body protection (16) on the
carrying harness (15) must be
placed between the body and
the device.
Always wear the carrying har-
ness (15) when working with the
3-tooth blade (
turn the device off before taking
off the carrying harness.
Accident hazard.
Generally, we recommend using
the carrying harness (15) whenever
using the device.
The carrying harness (15) is
equipped with a quick-release
device. Pulling the tab (39) re-
leases the device quickly from
the carrying harness in a dan-
gerous situation.
1. Wear the carrying harness (15) like
a backpack.The closure (41) must be
situated on the chest.
2. Adjust the strap length so that the body
protection (16) is level with the hip.
3. Carefully pull the tab (39) of the quick
release device backwards until the

4. Push open the snap hook (40).

Sliding the carrying eye
Select the appropriate position for the
carrying eye (6) of the carrying har-
ness (15) depending on whether you are
using the spool cap or the 3-tooth blade.
You can slide the carrying eye (6) to bet-
ter distribute the weight of the device.
1. Loosen the screw (42) on the carrying
eye (6) for the carrying harness, using
the hexagon socket wrench (17) from
the storage (
2. Slide the carrying eye (6) to the appro-
priate position.
3. Tighten the screw (42) again.
