Setup and operating

Please observe the following
safety notes. The manufactur­
er is not liable for damages on
the basis of failure to observe
these notes.
Only use the sun shade with sufficient
ballasting (see "Technical data").
Always place the article on a firm and even
surface.
Use a stable base for the umbrella.
The product should be set up by a
competent adult.
When opening and closing the umbrella,
make sure that your hands are not caught
by the folding mechanism.
In the event of incoming wind or
thunderstorms, close the sun shade
and secure it with a tie strip. Otherwise
a wind gust could tip it over and cause
damage or damage the sun shade itself.
Never start an open fire near or under the
sun shade. The shade may catch fire or
be damaged by airborne sparks.
The sun shade is not a children's
toy. Children may catch their fingers.
Furthermore, the shade is very heavy
and could injure children if it tips over.
Do not hang anything on shade braces or
do chin­ups on them.
The sun shade can protect your skin
against direct UV radiation, but not against
reflected UV rays. For this reason, be sure
to also use cosmetic sun block.

To protect the sun shade from being
overloaded, close the shade in the event
of rain or snow and secure it with a tie strip
(not included in the product contents).
The cover is not suitable for machine
washing, dry cleaning or bleaching.
Do not use any aggressive chemical
cleaners or liquids, solutions, abrasive
substances or objects, bleaches, high­
pressure cleaners and strong cleaning
agents.
Please observe the care notes sewn in.
Intended use
The sun shade is suitable for providing
protection against direct UV rays. It is not
intended to provide protection against
rain or snow.
The sun shade is only intended for private
use. The warranty is forfeited in the event
of commercial use.
Setting up the shade
In order to adequately secure the sun
shade, the following shade socket must
be used. For the model

Active Auto Tilt 300 × 200
1. Situate the shade socket as desired.
2. If it has not yet been mounted, screw
the shade tip into the threading (see
Figure H).
3. Allow the shade to slide into the
bottom pole, to do this, depress the
lock button 1.
4. Turn the shade until the button 1 locks
into the opening 2 (see Figure A).
5. Insert the shade pole in the shade
socket and fix it in place, see the
operating instructions for the shade
socket.
