Dismantling
CAUTION Moving Parts
Run the hoist at as low speed as possible when removing the load chain. A
running hoist can cause bodily injury.
Reduce the air pressure to 1 bar.

Keep body parts away from the chain and hoist when running the hoist to

remove the chain.
When replacing the load chain the air hoist should be hung up by the sus-
pension hook and connected to the air line.
1. Remove the locking ring in order to remove the hook and remove the pin
to unscrew the load chain from the hoist.
2. Remove the chain by running the hoist.
Assembling
WARNING Crushing Hazard
Use the Atlas Copco original load chain. Using an incorrect chain can dam-
age the hoist and cause wear and tear of the chain with a serious risk of bod-
ily injury or death if the chain breaks.
Use Atlas Copco original load chain of special dimension only.

NOTICE Lubricate the Chain Before Use
The hoist must not be used without lubricating the chain. The load chain must
be lubricated before use since the chain is not properly lubricated for use upon
delivery. Failure to lubricate will lead to greatly reduced lifetime of the chain.
Lubricate the chain before use.

1. Start with the dismantling procedure when replacing the load chain.
2. Remove the chain by running the hoist.
