BEFORE FIRST USE
1.
Remove all packaging and transport safety devices. Keep the packaging
material away from children and animals. Choke hazard! Dispose of the
packaging material according to the applicable statutory waste disposal
regulations.
2.
Inspect the appliance for damage. If there is visible damage, do not operate
the appliance; instead, contact our customer service department.
3.
Wipe off all parts with a moist cloth.
4.
Check to make sure the base is stable.
5.
Remove the kettle from the base.
6.
Press the opening button on top of the appliance.
7.
Add 1.5 l of clear and cold water (up to the "Max" mark).
8.
Close the lid by pressing lightly until it clicks into place.
9.
Connect the base via the power cord to the power supply (220–240 V~,
50/60 Hz).
10. Place the kettle on the base.
11. Press the "ON/OFF" button to switch the appliance on.
12. When the water boils, the boil stop shuts off the appliance automatically.
13. For hygienic reasons, discard the water from the first boiling.
