DESCALING
1.
To keep the appliance operating efficiently and to prolong its service life,
it should be descaled regularly, depending on the hardness of your water.
2.
Use off-the-shelf descaling products for electric kettles and comply with the
manufacturer's instructions. To descale, fill the kettle to no more than half
full, as the liquid may otherwise boil over and cause severe injuries.
3.
Heat the liquid to no more than 80 °C (do not boil!) and allow it to sit in the
kettle for some time.
4.
Pour the descaling solution out of the kettle.
5.
Next, fill the kettle with fresh water and bring the water to a boil. Pour this
water out as well. Finish by rinsing the kettle with fresh water at least two
times.
