MAINTENANCE
Maintenance operations may only be performed by properly trained and certified
technicians. Employee responsibilities for use and maintenance should be defined by the
owner of the facility or the user.
8.1. RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE PLAN
Not complying with the brand procedures will incur in the immediate loss of component
and/or generator set warranty.
Check crankcase oil level.
Check the antifreeze level.
Check fuel level.
Check for leaks
Check battery charge and electrolyte level.
Check the integrity of all components attached to the engine.
Check the air filter clogging indicator.
Check belt condition.
Replace the oil filter(s).
Replace the fuel filter(s).
Check coolant condition.
Check condition of air filter.
Check the radiator cleaning status.
Replace crankcase oil.
Replace the air filter (if necessary).
Replace antifreeze.
Check the condition of the injectors.
Check the condition of the turbocharger.
Check intake and exhaust valve clearances.
Check the condition of the battery charge alternator.
Check the condition of the sensors and the connection cables of the
motor sensors.
Check the battery terminals.
Check cleaning conditions.
Check ground connection.
Check for vibrations.
Check the condition of the cooling fan.
Check coupling condition.
Check the condition of the shields, armatures and warning and safety
lables.
Check alternator output voltage values.
Inspect the condition of the alternator output terminals.
Inspect the condition of the AVR and AVR connections.
Inspect the condition of the anti-condensation resistance and check
the voltage power supply.
Check exciter stator continuity.
Check the insulation resistance of the alternator output terminals.
Check the insulation resistance of the rotor and stator windings.
