4. INSTALLATION
4.7 Maximum length of the SPS connecting conductors:
The length of the conductors for the SPD connection should be as short as possible,
without bends or loops. It should have a maximum length of 0.5 m. These conductors
should run as short and linear a path as possible, in order not to represent an
impedance in the circuit, which impairs the performance of the SPD protection.
4.8 SPD Coordination:
The effects of surges on electrical and electronic equipment are mitigated when
coordination between the three SPD classes is used, as illustrated in the figure below:
