Preparation for operation
POSITIONING OF THE UNIT
The ambient temperature must not exceed 40°C and ambient humidity should not
exceed 85%. The device should be used in a way that ensures good air circulation.
Keep the unit away from any hot surfaces. Always keep the unit out of reach of
children and persons with reduced mental, sensory or intellectual functions. Place
the unit in such a way that the mains plug can be reached at any time. Ensure that
the power supply to the unit corresponds to that specified on the identification
plate!
IMPORTANT: before the first use and each subsequent use, check the tightening of
the screws mounting the cutting jaws - 2 for each jaw. Loose cutting jaws adversely
affect the operation of the device, posing a threat to the operator! Also, worn or
damaged cutting jaws can affect the safe use of the machine.
Before the first work and each subsequent work with the unit, check the level of the
hydraulic fluid - it may also be necessary to vent the hydraulic system of the pump
piston. To do this, you need to:
Connect the unit to the power supply.
If the ambient temperature is low, warm up the device beforehand - see
section 3.3
Place the unit on an even surface and adjust the clearance adjustment
screw to be able to cut 3-4 rebar pieces and pay attention in which position
the rod is cut.
For the next piece to be cut, release the trigger, stopping the jaws just
before cutting off the bar completely. Then disconnect the device with the
bar stuck in the jaws.
Place the device on an even, stable surface, resting on its stand. If the
appliance is hot, allow it to cool down.
Unscrew the hydraulic fluid service plug with its seal and check the fluid
level - it should reach the bottom of the service plug hole, i.e. the pump
housing should be full to the brim. If this is not the case, refill the hydraulic
fluid bearing in mind the recommendation for its type (see table of
technical parameters).
After adding hydraulic fluid, vent the pump system by gently tilting the unit
longitudinally forward and repositioning it on an even, stable surface. Refill
the hydraulic fluid and gently tilt the unit longitudinally again, but this time
backwards and put it back on an even surface. Repeat the venting
