B. Soak the Electrode
1.
Remove the electrode cap covering the CO30 meter electrode.
2.
Soak electrode in distilled water for 10 minutes before first use or after storage
OPERATION
A. Power ON/OFF
Press the "On/Off"
again to turn off. The instrument has a 10 minute automatic shutoff if there is no key activity
unless it is submersed in solution.
B. Calibrate
1. Press "CAL" key to enter "Calibration" mode.
2. Immerse meter into 1413 µS conductivity solution.
3. The "CAL" icon will appear when the main display shows "1415". Single Point calibration is
now complete. The "MEAS" icon will appear and the meter is ready to measure 0-2000 µS.
Rinse electrode.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for two/second point calibration by immersing the meter in 12.90 mS
conductivity solution and pressing the "Cal" key. Once completed, Two Point calibration is
successful and the meter is ready to measure 0-20 mS.
Note: For best accuracy, it is recommended that you calibrate conductivity routinely with fresh,
traceable calibration solutions and a clean electrode or anytime after replacing the electrode.
C. Measure
Dip the electrode into the test solution while in the "Measure Mode". Give the meter a shake
while submersed to remove any air bubbles that may have occurred during submersion.
D. Hold Data
1.
When the conductivity is stable, press "HOLD" key once to lock the reading on the display.
2.
Press "HOLD" key again to unlock reading and the unit will return to "Measure Mode".
The unit is now ready for another measurement.
ONGOING MAINTENANCE
A. Electrode Storage
1.
Electrodes attached to the instrument should be kept in a clean, dry environment. The
electrodes need to be kept clean.
B. Battery Disposal
This instrument is powered by alkaline batteries, which the user must remove and dispose of
when the batteries no longer power the instrument. Disposal requirements vary by country and
region, and users are expected to understand and follow the battery disposal requirements for
their specific locale.
