OPERATION
Ignition
Press the push button
and keep it pressed down.
- The main flow valve "O" closes.
- The magnet unit valve "E" opens.
- The armature "A" comes into contact with the magnet "C".
- The gas flows to the pilot burner.
Ignite the pilot burner and wait a few seconds (If the control is
fitted with a piezo-electric igniter, ignite by pressing the
button
).
- The thermocouple, heated by the pilot flame, generates
sufficient current within a few seconds to keep the magnet
unit energized.
Release the push-button
- The main flow valve "O" opens and the gas can also flow to
the main burner.
Normal operation
Turn the knob "M" to the desired temperature (turn the knob
completely anti-clockwise to get the maximum temperature).
4
.
- The sensor "B" controls the liquid expansion bellows "F" which
controls gas flow by means of the snapping valve "G" and the
modulating valve "N" of the thermostat. These adjust gas flow
to the main burner so as to maintain the desired ambient
temperature.
Pilot position
Turn the knob "M" completely clockwise (zero position).
- This overrides the thermostat and the valves "G" and "N" stay
closed whatever the temperature of the sensor while the gas
flows to the pilot burner only.
Shut-down
Press the push-button completely down
- The valves "O" and "L" stop gas flow to the main burner and to
the pilot burner.
- The latching device (INTERLOCK) is engaged.
Release the push-button
- Until the magnetic safety device trips to the closed position,
releasing the interlock, the valves "O" and "L" stop gas flow,
preventing incorrect operation.
