• a child is properly secured with safety belts
• The straps of the harness are correctly fitted to the child's body, and they are not twisted.
• The car seat is pointed to the right side, according to the height group and age of the child.
5. SIDE IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEM (SIPS)
5.1 The side impact protection system is located on both sides of the seat. To activate the pro-
tection, pull out the side elements of the seat (22). To retract the safety features, press the
buttons located on the sides of the safety feature.
6. REAR-FACING SEAT INSTALLATION
Install the ISOFIX attachments through the seat guides according to sections 1.2 and 1.3 of the instruc-
tions.
6.1 Lengthen the TOP TETHER belt by pressing the Top Tether adjustment buckle (19).
6.2 The TOP TETHER belt should be long enough to fit the Top Tether mount (20) at one of the
car's anchorage points:
1. the attachment point is at the rear window on the rear shelf.
2. the attachment point is located on the bottom of the trunk.
3. the attachment point is located on the backrest of the vehicle seat on the trunk side.
6.3 When attaching the Top Tether, make sure that the adjustment buckle (19) is facing down
when connecting to the vehicle anchor. Tighten the Top Tether belt until a green indicator
appears on the buckle (19), indicating that the installation has proceeded correctly.
Grab the seat with both hands and check that the seat is properly secured.
NOTE: Make sure that the Top Tether belt is not twisted and that the Top Tether attachment is facing
down and connects it to the attachment point in the car - the anchor.
7. INSTALLATION OF THE CAR SEAT FORWARD-FACING (76-105
Turn the car seat forward-facing.
Install the ISOFIX attachment through the guides of the car seat as seen in sections 1.2 and 1.3 of the
manual. Then install Top Tether following the steps in sections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 of the manual.
8. INSTALLING THE CAR SEAT FORWARD-FACING (100-150
Turn the seat forward facing.
Install the ISOFIX attachments through the seat guides according to sections 1.2 and 1.3 of the manual.
Stow the seat harness, following the steps in 4.1-4.4.
8.1 Remove the 3-point car belt and put it through the belt guide located in the seat headrest (11).
Guide the lap belt through the belt guide located between the backrest and the seat base (13).
NOTE: The hip belt should be at the height of the child's pelvis, not at the lower abdomen.
NOTE: Make sure the car belt is not twisted.
8.2 Fasten the belt - a clicking sound confirms that the belt is properly secured.
9. REMOVING THE HARNESS BUCKLE FROM THE SEAT
9.1 Remove the belt buckle cover (6) and the lower part of the seat cover (2).
9.2 Bring the buckle closer to the seat. Rotate the buckle strap 90 degrees and put it into the
perpendicular recess (H), as shown in Figure 9.2. Then remove the buckle from the recess.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• The device attached to the seat (26) can be used to facilitate the reassembly of the cover.
