Safety information

OASE has manufactured this unit to the current state of the art and the valid safety regulations. Despite of the above,
hazards for persons and assets can emanate from this unit if it is used in an improper manner or not in accordance
with its intended use, or if the safety instructions are ignored.
For safety reasons, children and young persons under 16 years of age as well as persons who cannot recog-
nise possible danger or who are not familiar with these operating instructions, are not permitted to use the
unit!
Please keep these operating instructions in a safe place! Also hand over the operating instructions when passing the
unit on to a new owner. Ensure that all work with this unit is only carried out in accordance with these instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can lead to danger to life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly connected or
misused.
Attention! Danger of electric shock. Ensure that the cable connection points and their surroundings are dry.
Protect the connection cable when burying to avoid damage. Only use cables approved for outside use. Ensure that
the power connection cable cross section is not smaller than that of the rubber sheath with the identification H05RN-F.
Extension cables must meet DIN VDE 0620. Only use unwound cables. Electrical installations in garden ponds and
swimming ponds must meet the national and international regulations valid for installers. Compare the electrical data of
the supply with those on the unit type plate. This data must coincide.
Never operate the unit if the cable or housing are defective! Disconnect the power! Do not carry or pull the unit by the
connection cable.
Only use the unit in conjunction with a safety transformer (not included in our scope of delivery). Install the safety
transformer at a flood protected place and provide a minimum spacing of 2 m from the pond edge. Never open the unit
housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions. Always discon-
nect the power supply of all units located in water and of this unit prior to performing work on the unit! For your own
safety, consult a qualified electrician if you have questions or encounter problems!
Set-up and start-up (A)
The unit is supplied completely fitted, including a 20 W bulb. Connection of the electrical cable is reserved for a quali-
fied electrician. As standard, the spot light is supplied (completely assembled) with 2 blind plugs. The scope of delivery

be able to install the connection cable (A1). If you wish to connect several spot lights, remove both cable lead throughs
to be able to loop the connection cable (A1). Open the connection housing (A2). Push the union nut on the cable first,
followed by the sealing insert (A3). Strip the connection cable and terminate the wires with ferrules (A3). Wire the spot
light as shown in figure A4. If you wish to connect more than one spot light, wire as shown in figure A5 to be able to
loop all lights. Firmly screw-connect the cable lead throughs by means of union units. Ensure that the outer jacket of
the connection cable protrudes at least 5 mm from the rubber sealing (A4, A5). Place the cover with both O rings onto
the connection housing and tighten firmly (A6).
Attention: Only use a safety transformer (alternating voltage power pack) according to VDE 0570, IEC 61558,
EN 61558 to operate the spot light.
Danger of fire: If operated above water level, keep a safety distance from combustible materials of at least 50 cm. Do
not cover the unit. Ensure a safe seating.
Bolt the mounting plate to the spot light with a screw connection and use it to slide the spot light onto the ground stake
or onto the spot light holder of an OASE water feature pump (A7). Ensure that the nut is in the small hole and the
screw in the large hole of the screw connection (A7). Position the unit such that it does not present a hazard for any-
body. Check the spotlight function.

Adjusting the light cone

Attention! Never loosen the union nut! Water might enter the spotlight.
The light angle can be infinitely adjusted from 10° to 40° by turning the focussing ring (A8).
Replacing the glass or coloured glass and the bulb (B)
Adhere to the safety instructions! Disconnect the power! Undo the screw connections at the mounting plate and re-
move residual water. Ensure that no moisture can enter the unit. Unscrew the union nut, remove the glass or coloured
glass and the O ring, check for damage, replace, if necessary, then remove the defective bulb from the housing (B1).
The OASE accessories include red, orange, green and blue coloured glass.
Important! Only original bulbs from OASE may be used.
Insert new bulb (do not touch, use a cloth or similar). Reassemble the unit in the reverse order, connect to the power
supply and perform a function check (B2).

Wearing parts

Bulbs are wearing parts and are excluded from the warranty.
