3. You are now set up for chisel work using ham-
mer action.
APPLICATION
WARNING: To reduce the risk of explosion,
before any work check the utility lines electric-
ity, gas or water supply line are hidden in the
work area.
WARNING: When working at low tempera-
tures:
The hammering mechanism begins to operate
only when the tool has reached a minimum op-
erating temperature.
Press the tip of the hammer bit briefly against
the work surface while the tool is running.
Repeat this procedure if necessary until the
hammering reaches the minimum operating
temperature.
HAMMER DRILLING
WARNING: Do not use tools without SDS
plus for hammer drilling!
Tools without SDS-plus and their holder and drill
chuck would be damaged by hammer drilling.
When working with tool without SDS-plus, set
the operating mode selector knob to position.
CHIPPING AND CHISELING
Before inserting the chisel, set the operating
mode selector knob to the "hammering only"
position.
Insert the appropriate chisel. To adjust the head
of the chisel to the desired angle, set the oper-

ating mode selector knob to the "bit rotation"
position and rotate the chisel by hand. Return
the mode selector to the "hammering only" po-
sition.
· Adjust the auxiliary handle as required.

· Start on the trigger of tool and start working
Hold the tool firmly with both hands, turn the
tool on and apply slight pressure on the tool so
that the tool will not bounce around, uncon-
trolled. Pressing very hard on the tool will not
increase the efficiency.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

1. Avoid the tool vibration or impact, and keep
" to
it from oil and grease.
2. Inspect bolts periodically. If the bolts loosen,
tighten them immediately, or will result in seri-
ous accident.
3. Inspect tool cords periodically. If damaged,
have repaired at your nearest Authorized Ser-
vice Center.
4. Keep the vents clean. Clean all parts of the
tool, clean dust periodically. To prevent debris
entry.
CARBON BRUSHES
The carbon brushes and the collets must be
examined frequently. A good contact result the
tool to be strong. When the spark around the
collector becomes largest the carbon brushes
should be changed.
CLEANING
WARNING: Before to clean or realize any kind
of maintenance, the tool must be unplugged of
the power source. The most effective cleaning
method could be flow the tool with dry com-
pressed air. Always use goggles when perform
this activity. Keep the handle clean, dry and oil
free. Use only a gently soap and a wet wiper
to clean the tool. Many cleaning products has
chemical which can seriously damage the plastic
and other isolated parts.
The ventilation slots must be kept clean. Don't
try clean it introducing sharp objects trough
ventilation slots.
