2. Application
The RG11, RG11/A, RG11/DA descender device is a rescue device by means of which one person
or two persons simultaneously or several persons one after the other are able to vertical descend
from a higher to a lower level at limited velocity. The equipment may only be used within the limits
defined in this user manual and for its intended use. The descender device may only be used as
rescue system and not as fall arrest system.
3. Inspection
Before use: visual check and functional test of the device visual check forwear, corrosion and
damages. Check the readability of the labels.
The functional test is performed as follows: Pull left and right on the descent rope, the rope should
be relatively hard to pull through but it should move smoothly and evenly.
The inspection prior to use may be omitted for certain equipment parts intended for emergency use
