the other on the auxiliary handle.
The auxiliary handle can be rotated
to fit the work to be done.
For this, loosen the auxiliary
handle's clamping knob, turn
the knob to the desired position
and tighten the knob.
6. Inserting the chisel
- Check whether the locking system
of the chisel is in the open position.
If it is in the closed position, pull the
locking/unlocking lever towards you
and turn it 180º clockwise.
- Lubricate the shank of the chisel
with grease and inserted it into the
hexagonal socket, making sure that
the flat part of the chisel is facing up
(FIG. 4).
20
- Push the chisel turning the
locking/unlocking lever 180°
counter-clockwise direction.
(FIG. 5).
Follow the same procedure for any
change of chisels.
NOTE: During prolonged use
of the breaker, it is possible
that the oil drains of the chisel
along the fixation system. This
is normal and does not affect
the proper functioning of the
product. Regularly check the
oil level.
USE
WARNING: Before use, check
the oil level, correct assembly
of the chisel and make sure
that all screws are tight.
After having read all the instructions
in this manual, you can start
working.
- Use the appropriate accessory
for the task to perform.
- Plug the breaker on the power
outlet.
- Hold the hammer firmly with both
hands and keep a stable posture.
- Position yourself perpendicular
to the surface on which you will
work, keeping in line with the
machine. Place the chisel on the
surface to demolish.
- Turn the switch to ON position (I)
to turn on the machine.
Set the switch to OFF position (O)
to stop the machine (FIG. 6).
NOTE: The harder the surface
to break down, the greater the
impact force.
Conversely, the weaker the
surface, the more difficult will
the hammer to carve.
ADVICE AT FIRST
- In some cases, it may be
necessary to hit the tip of the chisel
on the work surface in order to start
the percussion. This simply means
that the mechanism anti-impact
safety guard is working.
In other cases, for example in the
case where the material is very hard
to be demolished, it is necessary
to drill small holes to weaken the
material.
- Avoid overloading the engine by
pushing too hard the hammer onto
the surface to demolish. The force
applied to the hammer must not
affect the speed and impact force.
HELP FOR START
Sometimes, the demolition hammer
can not make impact movements,
although the electric motor
is running correctly, in particular
when the machine was stored
at temperatures below 10 °C.
This may be due to the fact that the
oil became very thick.
Work with the hammer for a few
minutes until it engages the drum
of the machine, to heat the interior
of the machine and make the oil
more fluid.
