1. General Instructions
The product must only be used in accordance with the instructions.
No changes, extensions or modifications may be made to the product without the manufacturer's authorisation.
No liability is accepted for changes made without the manufacturer's authorisation and in such cases the
warranty will cease to be valid.
Before first use, read and follow the user manual, especially the safety instructions and warnings. The product
must only be used by appropriate workers who have been trained.
National directives and safety regulations must be complied with. The German regulations BGV D8
(hoisting, lifting and winching equipment) and BGV D27 (industrial trucks) must be observed.
2. Safety instructions
Before using the product, it should be checked to ensure it functions correctly and is not damaged.
Only use the equipment if it is technically sound, ready for operation and operating safely.
Ensure you are familiar with the individual assembly, maintenance and repair instructions before beginning
work. Ensure loose parts are tightened and releasing mechanisms are locked.
If there is a fault or damage, the product must not be used. Ensure the problem is professionally repaired before
using the product again.
If there is visible deformation or damage, the drum lifter must not be used.
All safety and risk notes for the product must be observed and these instructions must be retained in full and in
a legible condition.
Do not stop or work under suspended loads.
Ensure that no one is present in the danger area before lifting, transporting or lowering loads.
Do not put hands near moving machine parts or equipment.
Only lift the load as far as necessary. The load must not be left in the raised position.
Never exceed the maximum load capacity of the drum lifter.
Personal protective equipment must be worn.
The Servo drum lifter must not be used for transporting people or open drums.
Inappropriate use may lead to a risk of crushing.
3. Application and intended use
The Servo drum lifter ensures easy lifting and transport of 212-230L steel drums in accordance with DIN EN
15750-2 as well as 60L steel drums. The handling of closed 208-216.5L steel drums in accordance with DIN EN
15750-1 is also possible.
The drums must not be buckled or deformed, especially at the drum edge.
Check to ensure the drum is suitable and ensure it is securely held.
The user must ensure that the equipment is suitable for the actual drums to be transported.
The floor must be flat, even and solid.
