Push and release the SELECT pushbutton. The mode selection
changes when the button is released.
SAVE (#3), CHARGE (#4) and/or TEST (#6,7,8) LEDs flash twice to
confirm the new selection is in memory. Selection remains even if
AC power is lost.
CHARGE MODES: LED #1a = 14.4V. LED #1b = 14.7V.
A charge mode automatically activates and will proceed to STEP 3 if
1b
connected battery voltage is at least 0.5 Volt.

With battery connected, if a new selection is made or AC power is
14.7V
14.7V

lost & again recovered, the charge program will restart from STEP 3.
14.7V selection - This higher charge voltage is only suitable for
certain premium AGM or sealed deep cycle / traction 12V lead-acid
batteries. Other 12V lead-acid batteries will be overcharged and may
suffer permanent damage. Confirm battery charge voltage
requirement before making the 14.7V selection. If you are not sure,
select 14.4V. It is safe for any 12V lead-acid battery.
PS (Power Supply): LED #2.
A fixed 13.6V is delivered, with up to 8 Amps of current available.
LED indication during Power Supply mode:
6
LED #6, #7, #8 = voltage at 13.6V, current draw below 8 Amps.
7
LED #7 & #8 = voltage below 13.6V, current draw exceeds 8 Amps.
LED #8 = voltage below 12.2V, battery SOC < 25%.
REVERSE POLARITY / incorrect battery connection: The charger
is electronically protected so no damage will result, and the output
will remain disabled until the connections are corrected.
Following correction charge modes 14.4V & 14.7V automatically
activate and will proceed to STEP 3. PS mode - see below.
PS (power supply) LED #2 flashing ON/OFF: Indicates that a fault
condition such as reverse connected battery, a short circuit or
overload was detected, or AC power was interupted during PS mode.
If necessary correct the fault condition, then push and release the
SELECT pushbutton. Output is restored when LED #2 (PS) turns full
on.
The battery SAVE mode engages if the battery is less than 50%
charged OR voltage is between 0.5 to 12.4 Volt. Charge time: 15min
to 2hrs.
TURBO SAVE : The battery was diagnosed as sulphated, unable
to accept or hold charge - Current is limited to 0.4A and voltage is
allowed to rise towards 16V to check for active vehicle electronics, if
detected, STEP 5 immediately engages. Otherwise voltage may
briefly rise as high as 22V to overcome sulphation within the battery.
IMPORTANT: Read section VERY FLAT NEGLECTED BATTERIES
below.
With voltage limited to 14.4V / 14.7V (as selected) current is
delivered in pulses to prepare the battery to accept normal charge
and increase its state of charge towards 50%.
