Building a serial DMX-chain:
Connect the DMX-output of the first device in the DMX-chain with the DMX-input of the next device. Always
connect one output with the input of the next device until all devices are connected.
Note:
It's necessary to insert the XLR termination plug (with 120 Ohm) in the last lighting in the link in order to
ensure proper transmission on the DMX data link.
Addressing
The Control Board allows you to assign the DMX fixture address, which is defined as the first channel from
which the LED Bar 648/5 RGB will respond to the controller.
For address setting, press the Encoder and turn it turn it clock-wise to increase the value and counter-
clockwise to decrease the value. Press the Encoder again to confirm.
Controlling:
After having addressed the LED Bar 648/5 RGB, you may now start operating it via your lighting controller.
LED Brightness Setting
The Control Board allows you to define the LED brightness. Press the Encoder and turn it turn until the LCD
Display shows the following:
Manual Blue ***
Manual Green***
Manual Red ***
Value setting : 0 – 255, the higher the value, the brighter the LEDs. Press the Encoder and turn it clock-wise
to increase the value and counter-clockwise to decrease the value. Press the Encoder again to confirm.
Non-DMX Modi
Press the Encoder and turn it turn until the LCD Display shows the following:
No DMX Auto/Sound/Manual
Press the Encoder again to confirm. The sequences Auto/Sound/Manual follow each other in a continuous
loop: Auto = automatic, Sound = sound control, Manual = manual. Press the Encoder again to confirm the
desired mode.
Chaser
A chaser is a sequence of different steps that will be called up one after another in a continuous loop. With
LED Bar 648/5 RGB, you can select up to 8 chasers.
For example: To set the Fade Time, press the Encoder and turn it turn to choose Chase 8 s***f **. Note the
position of the cursor, which blinks immediately after the „f .Press the Encoder again to confirm the desired
menu option. To set a faster value, press the Encoder and turn it turn it clock-wise to increase the value and
counter-clockwise to decrease the value. Press the Encoder again to confirm.
Or:
To set the Step Time, press the Encoder and turn it turn to choose Chase 8 s***f. Note the position of the
cursor, which blinks immediately after the „s". Press the Encoder again to confirm the desired menu option.
