Contact with the grinding wheel where it is not cove-
red.
Catapulting parts from damaged grinding wheels.
Catapulting workpieces and parts of workpieces from

as required.
Before starting the device
Before connecting the device to the mains, make sure
that the nominal value data on the label is the same
as the data on the network.
Always pull the plug before making any adjustments
to the device.
Assembly (Fig. A-C)
Insert the supplied spring (supplied) into the hole on
the support table (2), fit the ball (supplied) spring,
then place the rotary table (1) on the support table (2)
(Fig. A).
Screw the fastening nut (7) onto the locking screw
(fig. B).
For safe handling, the device must be mounted along
the edge of a workbench or table.
Use
If possible, use all three attachment points (fig. C).
Make sure the saw chain recess remains clear and
the lock nut remains accessible.
Insert the chain you want to sharpen into the guide
bar (6) (fig.D-E). Loosen the fixing screw (3b) and
insert the cutting chain into the guide rail (6) between
the guide plates (5).
b. Set the grinding angle according to the specifica-
tions for your chain (fig. F) (normally between 30-35°).
Loosen the locking nut (fig. B/7) to adjust the grinding
angle.
Turn the turntable and set the desired grinding angle
using the scale (Fig. F/19).
Tighten the locking nut (fig. B/7) again.
Adjust the chain stop (Fig. F)
Place the chain stopper (4) on the chain.
Pull the chain back against the chain stop (4) until the
cutting link to be ground rests against the stop.
Set the depth limit (fig. F)
Tilt the sanding head (13) against the cutting link for
precise alignment. Set the distance using
using the mounting screw (3a) so that the grinding
wheel touches the cutting member. in addition, adjust
the grinding depth with the adjustment screw (8).
Secure the chain (fig. G)
Tighten the fixing screw (3b), the chain is fixed in
place.
Grinding chain links (Fig. H)
Important!
Use the device only for sharpening saw chains. Never
sand or cut other materials.
Before sharpening the saw chain, clamp it in the cha-
in guide bar (6). This will prevent the grinding wheel
from jamming caused by a loose saw chain.
Slowly guide the grinding wheel towards the saw
blade. If the grinding wheel approaches the chain-
saw too quickly or jerkily, the grinding wheel may be
damaged. Injury could occur from ejecting parts!
Turn on the appliance with the ON/OFF switch (12)
Carefully place the grinding wheel with the grinding
head against the set article.
Switch off the appliance with the ON/OFF switch (12)
Every other chain link must be sharpened in this way.
In order to have an overview of when every second
link of the entire chain is sharpened, we recommend
marking the first link (e.g. with chalk). After sharpe-
ning all the cutting elements of one side, it must be
abrasive
angle set to the same number of degrees setting the
angle of the other side. Then you can start (without
making any other settings) grinding the articles of the
other side.
The other side.
You can then start sanding the articles of the other
side (without having to do any further editing).
Set the pitch of the depth limiter
After the chain has been completely sharpened, you
must ensure that the depth limiter pitch is maintained
(= the distance between the depth limiter and the cut-
ting edge). You need to check the distance according
to your chain specifications. It is usually 0.5 – 0.8 mm.
You may need to file the depth limiters to the specifi-
cations for your chain with a file (no
part of delivery).
Replacing the grinding wheel (Fig. I N)
Do not use any damaged grinding wheels or wheels
that have changed their shape.
Do not use any grinding wheels that do not meet the
specified characteristics - instructions for use.
1. Open the transparent cover by pulling the terminal
(14).
2. Lock the spindle by pressing the locking bar (18).
3. Loosen the three hex nuts (15) using an Allen key.
4. Remove the nut, washer, front flange (16), grinding
wheel (9) and rear flange (16).
5. Clean the flange.
6. Install the new grinding wheel and cover in reverse
order.
