Incubators of thermal safety class 0 (see nameplate) must
be installed so as to permit permanent attendance, cf.
section "Thermal protection" (Page 14).
If you frequently work with cultures or test materials which
are particularly important, difficult to replace or even
irreplaceable, appropriate precautions should be taken
(protection by temperature limit controller).
Care should be taken not to lift the incubator by the door or
the door handle.
The incubators come with a power supply cable and a
shock-proof plug (16 A).
For line fusing, a 16 A delay-action fuse is required.
Prior to connecting the unit to the line, make sure that the
power supply ratings are those stated on the nameplate.
The connection must be made in accordance with the
relevant local safety regulations.
Rated voltage, rated frequency, rated power and current
are listed under 'Technical Data" and on the nameplate.
The incubator must be placed on a level surface.
Its position is locked in if the adjustable feet are turned.
This requires two wrenches (Size 24).
Models B 6420 and B 6760 are fitted with 4 articulated
casters. The lever which releases the caster is situated
above the locking lever. After the incubator has been
positioned, restrain the locking levers of the casters.
In order to ensure optimum stability, turn the front
casters forward as soon as the incubator is in position, and
depress the locking levers (see fig. 1).
Close the door(s) when the incubator is being moved!
