To reduce risk of property damage, fire, personal injury, and death:
•
Keep flammable items away from the cooktop burners.
•
Regularly clean the oven vents.
•
Do not use a towel or other bulky cloth as a pot holder.
•
Do not douse a grease fire with water but turn off the burner, and if needed, use a multi-purpose,
dry-chemical, or foam extinguisher.
•
Do not heat sealed containers.
Gas Safety
WARNING
To reduce risk of property damage, fire, personal injury, and death:
If you smell gas:
Close the valve and do not use the rangetop.
•
•
Do not light a match, candle, or cigarette; or turn on any gas or electric appliances.
Checking for Gas Leaks
Leak-testing the appliance must be done as the manufacturer directs. Do not use a flame to check for gas leaks.
With a brush, spread a soap-and-water solution around the area in question. If there is a gas leak, small bubbles
will appear in the solution.
