Before performing any type of maintenance/service, disengage all controls and stop the engine. wait until all
moving parts have come to a complete stop. Disconnect spark plug wire and ground it against the engine to
prevent unintended starting. Always wear safety glasses during operation or while performing any adjustments or
repairs.

fuel line cleaned.

Connect and tighten spark plug boot.

Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline.

Clear vent.
4.
Run engine until it stops from lack of fuel. Refill with
fresh fuel.
5.
Refer to Air Cleaner in Engine Maintenance section.
6.
Contact your Sears Parts & Repair Center to have
fuel line cleaned.

Fill crankcase with proper oil.
2.
Clean area around and on top of engine.
1.
Adjust gap to .030".
1.
Reset gap to .030" or replace spark plug.
7.
Refer to Air Cleaner in Engine Maintenance section.
1.
Replace edger blade.
2.
Contact your Sears Parts & Repair Center to have
unit inspected.

Replace drive belt.
