How to turn the unit on or off
A
Press the
button to turn the unit on or off.
The Standby/On indicator turns blue when the unit is
turned on.
< If no operation is done for more than an hour, the unit
turns off automatically (Auto Power Off).
However, when "On" is selected for "Network standby
setting" (page 53), this function is not available. (The
default setting is "Off".)
< When you turn on the unit, the selected source is the
same as the one selected the last time the unit was
turned off.
In CD/iPod mode, when you turn off the unit during
playback of a track/file, the track/file will be played
back automatically when you next turn on the unit.
How to select source

Every time the SOURCE button is pressed, the mode is
changed as follows:
TUNER
USB/iPod
CD
AUX2

Or press the TUNER, iPod/USB, PHONO, AUX 1/2 or CD
button on the remote control unit to select the source
directly.
When TUNER is selected as the source, pressing the
TUNER button on the remote control unit, or the
BAND button on the unit repeatedly changes the
mode as follows:
FM
Media Player
Adjust the volume

To protect the speakers from a sudden high-volume
sound, gradually turn up the volume to the required
level with the VOLUME knob.
Muting
To mute the sound temporarily, press the MUTING
button. To cancel muting, press the MUTING button
again or change the volume setting.
Dimmer
Press the DIMMER button to dim the display.
Press the button again to cancel the dimmer function.
< This function will be cancelled when the unit is turned
off.
