Leakage test :
The appliance connections were leak tested before leaving the factory.
A complete check of the strength of the connections must be carried out during installation.
Do not use the heater until the leakage test has been carried out on each connection.
The entire gas system, hose, regulator and burner must be leak tested before use.
Check the hose assembly for extreme abrasion, cuts or tears. If in doubt, perform a leak test. If the hose is
leaking, it must be replaced with a new hose that complies with the applicable standards.
The appliance must be tested with a full gas cylinder.
Make sure the safety valve is in the OFF position. 2.
Prepare a soapy water solution by mixing one part liquid soap and one part water. The soapy water solution can
be applied with a spray bottle, brush or cloth to all gas connections. In case of a leak, soap bubbles will appear.
Turn the gas supply ON.
In case of a leak, turn the gas supply OFF.
Tighten any leaking connections, then turn the gas supply ON and check again. If bubbles still appear, contact
your dealer or gas supplier. Connections to check are as follows: Cylinder valve/ regulator, Regulator/Hose, Hose/
Appliance gas inlet.
-The leak test should be performed with a soapy water solution (never use a flame to perform this test).
In the event of a gas leak, the appliance must not be used. If it is in use, the gas supply must be shut off and the
appliance examined and repaired before it is used again.
