Storage :
-Always close the gas cylinder valve after use.
-Remove the pressure regulator and hose clip if the appliance will not be used for a long period of time.
-The gas cylinder should be stored outdoors, protected from the weather and out of reach of children.
-A disconnected gas cylinder should have a tightly fitted valve cap and should not be stored in a garage or other
enclosed area.
-Storage of the appliance indoors is only possible if the gas cylinder is disconnected and removed from the
appliance.
-Check that the gas valve is tight and not damaged. If in doubt, have it replaced by your gas supplier.
-Never store a gas cylinder in a dry or unventilated area.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Wipe the dust-covered surface with a soft, damp cloth and soapy water. Do not clean
the appliance with combustible or corrosive materials.
Remove all debris, spiders and insect nests from the appliance vents, cylinder
enclosure, control compartment, burner and air flow passages with a strong all-
purpose cleaner or compressed air to keep the appliance clean and safe. Never clean
holes and other openings with a toothpick or any other object that may break and
block access.
-It is recommended to check the hose or flexible tube at least once a month and every
time the cylinder is changed. Be sure to change it regularly if it is marked on your
hose. If it shows signs of cracking, tearing or other damage, it should be replaced
with a new tube or hose of the same length and quality. The hose must comply with
EN16436-1:2014.
-If a carbon deposit forms, remove the reflector and the tiny para-flame screen and clean them with soapy
water. Do not paint the para-flame screen, control panel or reflector.
-If you have a protective cover, wait until the parasol has cooled before covering it.
- In an iodized environment, corrosion occurs more quickly. Check frequently for rust spots and repair them as
soon as possible.
After a long period of non-use, it is recommended that the owner :
-Check the condition of the gas cylinder.
- Check the condition of the hose and its assembly. If the hose or regulator is damaged or older than 5 years, it
should be replaced with a new part.
-Check for leaks by carrying out the soapy water test.
Warning:
If service is required, remove the reflector cover and burner assembly to gain access to the ignition system and
gas valve.
Replace any defective parts with certified and suitable parts. Replacement parts and accessories are available
from your local dealer or distributor.
