Operation
When the SRCOOLTMVENT is installed on the air conditioner, it only receives power through the pass-through power
connection. The temperature at which it activates is independent of the air conditioner and does so via the auto resetting
thermal sensor.
Should cool air stop flowing into the rack, the thermal sensor will begin to increase in temperature. Once the sensor limit
is reached, power will be cut to the electromagnet securing the lid. Spring tension will open the lid to a 45° angle, allowing
the hot air in the rack to vent through natural convection.
The thermal sensor will reset once the temperature goes below the reset point, restoring power to the electromagnet. This
will allow for the user to manually close the door and complete the emergency vent reset.
Should the thermal sensor activate and open the door while the air conditioner is powered, a signal will be sent from the
SRCOOLTMVENT to the air conditioner. The air conditioner will send a notice via the built-in remote management to alert
the user that the vent is currently open, along with any other alarms or notices sent from the air conditioner.
