Preparations before each use
1. Fully charge the battery in the In-Mask Display (all the LEDs on the charging
cradle will then light green).
2. Make sure that the FPS Quick Adapter is correctly fitted in the full face mask.
3. Visually inspect the In-Mask Display: There must be no damage present.
4. Lay the In-Mask Display on the adapter in the full face mask. Magnets fix the
In-Mask Display on the adapter.
5. Pairing the thermal imaging camera with the In-Mask Display
(see also Figure B on the fold-out page)
a. Switch on the thermal imaging camera (1) and the In-Mask Display (2).
To do this, press both On/Off buttons for approx. 2 seconds. The startup
screen is shown on the In-Mask Display.
b. Hold the pairing symbol on the thermal imaging camera directly at the
point on the full face mask at which the pairing symbol on the In-Mask
Display is located. The LED on the thermal imaging camera flashes blue.
An icon indicating the status of the pairing process is displayed on the In-
Mask Display.
Once the thermal imaging camera and the In-Mask Display are paired,
the LED lights blue for 5 seconds and the thermal image is displayed on
the In-Mask Display.
6. Check that the thermal image is readily visible. The full face mask must be
put on for this. If necessary, remove the full face mask and snap the optics in
another position.
