 Water heat exchanger: One of the annual maintenance operations is the cleaning of the
water heat exchanger. This is cleaned by circulating a solution of oxalic acid at 5 % (95
parts water, 5 parts oxalic acid) through the heat exchanger in the opposite direction to
the normal flow, and check the loss of charge on the manometers until it is correctly
cleaned. After recovering the oxalic acid, wash the circuit, open the main valves and bleed
the installation before starting it up.
