For distribution of digital Sat-IF signals
(DVB-S and DVB-S2 (HDTV), both polarisations
low band and high band from two satellites) and
terrestrial signals over a single cable to up to 8 receivers
No restriction on the variety of channels - the complete
range of channels from both satellites is transmitted
Single cable matrix with integral power supply unit for
the LNB supply
Option to select horizontal/vertical, low band/high band,
satellite position A/position B and transponder independently
for each receiver
Switching horizontal/vertical, low band/high band,
satellite position A/position B and transponder selection is
carried out in the matrix, controlled by the receiver with a
special DiSEqC
command set to EN 50494

For transponder selection, special tuner modules called SCRs
(Satellite Channel Routers) are incorporated in the matrix.
These convert the subscriber frequencies
Each receiver is assigned a fi xed subscriber frequency
(a twin receiver requires two subscriber frequencies)
PIN code protection (must be supported by the receiver)
for protecting a subscriber frequency against unauthorised access
Satisfi es the single-cable standard to EN 50494
LNB remote feed via the horizontal low inputs. All other inputs are voltage-free
Power-saving concept by standby mode (if all receivers are in "Standby" or "Off")
Short-circuit detection and signalling at the HF output during commissioning
Overload detection and signalling at the remote feeding inputs during commissioning
Constant SAT output level; AGC-controlled using the input level range
Passive feeding in the terrestrial range (can be received even when the satellite receiver is switched off)
Suitable EBC 10, EBC 13 and EBC 14 splitters are available for the single-cable system to split the signal at the input
when creating larger systems with multiple EXU 908 units
For indoor installation
Description
The special feature of the EXU 908 single cable matrix is that it allows operation of multiple receivers on a single cable.
For this purpose the matrix incorporates special tuner modules, called SCRs (Satellite Channel Routers).
These are controlled using special DiSEqC™ commands to EN 50494.
Each SCR converts its input signals so that the selected channel lies in the centre of its associated band pass.
