Close the clamp so the guard is fixed in its
place.
Fitting the auxiliary handle
Remove the battery from the appliance.
Use of the auxiliary handle is obligatory in
order to ensure greater control and safety
when handling the tool. The auxiliary handle
(C) must be screwed on to the right, top, or
left side, depending on the type of work to be
carried out.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE:
Ensure that the voltage indicated on the
rating label matches the mains voltage before
plugging in the battery charger.
Some parts of the appliance have been
lightly greased. Consequently, the first time
the appliance is used a light smoke may be
detected. After a short time, this smoke will
disappear.
DISC ASSEMBLY / DISASSEMBLY:
Fitting the disc
Remove the battery from the appliance before
replacing any accessory.
CAUTION: Do not use bent or cracked disc
grinders. Do not use disc grinders that do not
conform to the specifications contained in
these instructions.
WARNING! Never press the blocking button H
when the machine is running. The shaft must
have stopped completely before the blocking
button H is pressed.
Press the locking button and slightly turn the
disc until its impossible to move.
Remove the clamping nut from the axis with
the help of the tightening key.
Place the disc with the correct side up and
fasten again the clamping nut until is really fix.
Strongly fixed.
Take a good care when mounting the dics. One
of the flanges has a shape fitting the upper part
to fix the gripping to the machine. The other
part has to be mounted below de disk, with
the flat part looking downwards, and be very
tightened.
Once finished, ensure that the axis locking
button has returned to its place.
CAUTION: Abrasive discs have an expiration
date, which after, product may not be reliable
to use.
Fitting the disc guard
Loosen the clip of the protective guard by
pulling lock lever of protective guard outward.
Turn the protective guard so that uncovered
part of the disc is as far apart as possible from
the hand on main handle.
Fix the protection guard by pushing the lock
lever inwards (the protective guard should no
longer be able to move).
CAUTION: If the protective guard cannot be
fixed firmly by the lock lever, use a hexagon
wrench to tighten the hexagon nut.
CAUTION: the protective guard must be
positioned to protect the user if the disc
shatters during use.
USE:
ATTENTION: Verify that the disc is properly
fitted and the disc protection is clamped in the
correct direction.
Connect the battery to the appliance.
Switch on the appliance by activating the safety
lock and the on/off switch consequently
Perform the action you need to perform.
Remember that the most important is to take
care of the accessory.
Grinding
Hold the handle (3) and auxiliary handle (6)
firmly and switch on.
Avoid blocking the ventilation slots with
your hand, as this may cause the grinder to
overheat.
Let the disc reach full speed and apply the
grinder to the item.
Maximum effect is achieved when the grinder
is held at an angle of 15-30°in relation to the
item.
Move the grinder gently along the item.
Give the grinder time to work. It is rarely
necessary to press the disc hard against the
surface to mbe worked.
Sparks can occur in the motor compartment
during use. This is normal and does not mean
the grinder is defective.
Switch off the grinder after use.
