3. Functions
The smoke detector has been designed to sense smoke that reaches the detector.
The device does not detect gas, heat or flames. The smoke detector is designed
to give an early warning before a fire breaks out by emitting an alarm sound. It
can buy you valuable time so that you and your family can get to safety before a
fire spreads.
Such an advance warning of a fire accident will be given only if the smoke detec-
tor is properly placed, installed and maintained as described in this user manual.
