7.2 Functional test
If you press the "Test / Mute" button
for a long time, you will hear a con-
tinuous sound and the LED flashes
during the entire test period. If your
release the "Test / Mute" button, the
audible and visual alarms stop and the
device goes into Mute mode.
Repeat the step to deactivate the Mute mode.
Test the device at regular intervals.
7.3 Mute mode

The "Test / Mute" button activates the mute mode in standby and alarm
modes.

The mute function automatically switches off after about 9 minutes.

You have the option to end the mute mode manually. For this purpose,
press the "Test / Mute" button until you hear a beep.
Caution! The "Test / Mute" button activates the mute mode regardless of wheth-
er you are in standby or alarm mode. The LED indicator glows every 10 seconds.
You can end the mute mode by pressing the "Test / Mute" button. You hear an
audible beep.
Pressing the "Test / Mute" button for a long time triggers an alarm without acti-
vating the mute mode. The mute mode is activated only if the button is pressed
briefly.
The LED flashing interval indicates the current mode of the device. If the LED
flashes once every 10 seconds, the device is in sleep mode (mute). If the LED
flashes once every 344 seconds, the device is in standby mode. You will hear an
alarm in mute mode, when the smoke concentration in the surrounding exceeds
more than four times the normal alarm value.
