Charging the Battery
Section 2
Total time to fully charge a dead battery is approx. 2.5 hours.
Before using your MAG-TAC®, place it in the charging base for at least one hour,
or until the LED indicator shows solid GREEN.
Your MAG-TAC® charger is compatible with PC USB ports. NOTE however,
charge times are slightly longer with a PC USB port than with the provided
MAGLITE® adapters.
DO NOT use any charging base, wall adapter, or generic battery charger other
than the ones provided with your MAGLITE®.
Make sure your light is Turned OFF (Mode 5) before inserting it into the
charging base.
Fault : Charger output is below the minimum threshold for normal operation.
Short circuit on charge terminals or component failure is detected.
Pre-Conditioning : Battery is dead. Base will charge battery at very low rate, it
will then proceed to Fast Charge.
Fast Charge : Base will fast charge the battery up to approximately 80%
capacity.
Top-Off : Battery is at 80% capacity, base will perform a slow charge until
battery is 100% capacity.
Maintenance/Idle : Charge is complete. The base will maintain a FULL charge
state. The flashlight is left in the base and as the battery voltage drops slightly
over time, the base will switch between Top-off and an idle state.
