to leaving it unused for an extended

Be sure the product is not covered with any
fabric, such as a blanket or tablecloth,
during use. This may cause overheating
inside the product and lead to fire.
Notes on Use
❏ Protect the battery charger from strong
shocks and take care not to drop it.
Otherwise the battery charger may be
damaged.
❏ Protect the battery charger from extreme
temperatures and do not subject it to
drastic temperature fluctuations. Charging
is possible within a range of ambient
temperature between 0 to 40°C (32 to
104°F), but for best results, the temperature
should be between about 10 and 30°C (50 to
86°F).
❏ Keep the battery charger away from AM
receivers or video equipment because it
will disturb AM reception or the screen.
❏ Attach the battery pack firmly to the
battery charger.
❏ During charging, the battery pack will
become warm. This is normal and does not
pose a problem.
❏ The battery pack will gradually discharge
itself also when the product is not used. We
recommend charging immediately before
use, preferably 1 to 2 days before.
❏ After a full charge, it is recommended to
detach the battery pack from the battery
charger within 24 hours.
❏ Never allow the battery charger to hang
from the power cord.
❏ Do not connect the battery charger to a
table tap or extension cord.

❏ Note that the battery charger is not
equipped with an ON/OFF switch. Keep in
mind that you may need to pull the plug
out of the socket in order to cut the power
in the event of a problem with the
connected device.
Notes on Installation and
Storage
❏ Keep the battery charger away from the
following, which may cause damage, fire
or other accidents:
• Direct sunlight
• High temperature and humidity
• Extreme changes in temperature and
humidity
• Heating and cooling equipment
• Heat sources such as heaters and
cooking utensils.
• Volatile materials
• High levels of dust
• Locations that might become wet
• Locations where there might be fire
• Locations where there might be vibration
and impact
❏ Set the battery charger so that its label side
is facing down.
❏ Do not connect the power cord to electrical
outlets close to devices that generate
voltage fluctuations or electrical noise. In
particular, stay clear of devices that use
large electric motors.
Notes on Cleaning
To clean the battery charger, wipe with a dry or
slightly moistened (and firmly wrung out)
cloth. Never clean the battery charger while it
is plugged into the wall outlet.
Do not clean the battery charger with thinner,
benzine, or alcohol.
