Extracting an espresso coffee
• Check whether the water tank is filled with water.
If there is no water in the tank, fill with around 1 L of water (see Fig. 3).
Note: The maximum capacity of the water tank is 1 L (Max.).
The water tank must be filled up to the maximum level so as to reduce
the frequency of this operation. The machine alerts if there is not enough
water in the tank by means of a luminous alert message on the control
panel buttons.
For further information about the meaning of the alerts and the luminous
alarms, consult the "Alerts and Alarms" chapter (see Page 87).
Once the water tank has been filled and if it has been removed, replace it in
the initial position and confirm that it has been correctly fitted (see Fig. 4).
• Connect the electrical plug to an earthed socket.
Switch the On/Off general button which is located at the back of the
equipment.
• The buttons on the control panel will blink in sequence (green colour)
when the equipment starts to pre-heat (approximately 60") (see Fig. 6).
• As soon as the buttons on the control panel stop blinking in sequence
(green colour), the pre-heating is over (see Fig. 7).
• Put an espresso coffee cup on the cup tray under the extraction nozzle
(see Fig. 8).
